They obtain their leather exclusively from tanneries that are members of the Leather Working Group (LWG), ensuring adherence to stringent environmental standards. As of 2024, 90% of their leather comes from top-rated suppliers, with a goal to source exclusively from LWG Gold-rated tanneries by 2025. Additionally, Steel Blue emphasizes sustainability by ensuring all leathers are by-products of the food sector, minimizing waste and promoting ethical practices.

Their commitment extends to reducing energy, water, and chemical usage throughout their supply chain and manufacturing processes.
